로버트 실버버그

작가 소개

뉴욕 브루클린 태생. 1956년 컬럼비아 대학 졸업. 학생 시절부터 과학 소설을 쓰기 시작했고 아동용 sf도 다수 썼음. <밤의 날개>로 1969년 휴고상 수상. 소년 소녀가 즐겨읽는 작품으로는 <제 4혹성의 반란>, <알파 C의 반란> 이 아주 유명함. 발랜타인의 성등 70여 편의 과학소설과 수백 편의 소설을 발표했으며 휴고상은 세 번, 네뷸러상은 다섯번이나 수상한 현대SF의 거장이다. 현재 역시 작가인 아내 카렌 헤이버와 캘리포니아 오클랜드에서 살고 있다.
